This is a heavy duty cleaning compound to be used with a polish to clean hard metals:

How to use polishing compounds and pads:

1. The adapter is used to hold the polishing pad in the drill chuck. Attach the correct polishing pad to the adapter. Make sure the flanges are on both sides of the polishing pad.
2. It would be best to use a drill to polish metals. If a drill is not accessible, use the TCV01810 adapter with a portable drill with a collet diameter of Ø43mm. Screw the adapter into the drill chuck.
3. The polishing pad should be rotating toward you at full speed. Lightly spread the compound across the surface of the polishing pad. To ensure that the compound is spread evenly, hold a clean piece of scrap metal against the surface of the polishing pad. This will eliminate clumps of compound.
4. If desired, heat the item to 150°F (65°C) using an oven or heater. Heating the metal keeps the compound on the polishing pad. A cool item will pull the compound off the pad and leave deposits. Use a glove when handling the hot item.
5. Hold the metal lightly against the polishing pad. Allow the compound to do the work.
6. If more compound is needed, apply it in a wiping motion. Do not overload the polishing pad.
